ABOUT ME
I help people speak with confidence, authenticity and sophistication ensuring they deliver faultless performances every time. Through my business, Honestly Speaking, I work with ambitious individuals and organisations including the NHS, Strata Homes, Network Rail, Portakabin, The National Composite Centre, Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature and Forte Financial LLP and IG wealth.
I didn’t talk much when I was young. I knew, if I didn’t make a choice to learn, grow and push through the barriers that threatened to hold me back that I would never be part of the conversation and I would live a life less ordinary. Everything is a choice, even if we do nothing, we are making a choice about how we want our life to be. I made a choice to find my voice and my life unfolded. I spent my young years learning my craft as a performer and at sixteen I left home to follow my dreams in my first professional role on stage.
In my career, spanning more than three decades I travelled the world working in theatre, film and television. I have appeared in acting roles on the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 and was honoured to have been mask theatre consultant for the Royal Shakespeare Company. I began teaching and coaching as a freelance theatre practitioner in 2001 where I found my passion in sharing my knowledge and expertise with others.
My personal and professional development is important to me and integral to my practice; I have a degree in acting, a masters in writing, directing and performance, and I’m a qualified neuro linguistic practitioner and coach. I am a member of The Professional Speaking Association, The International Coaching Federation and Equity and sit on the board of directors for CIC company, Training Cave.
I am ambitious, passionate, creative, honest and loyal, seeking to build lasting relationships and work alongside like minded people. Above all, I’m a proud warrior mum of two incredible humans, always striving to give them the very best I can from life.
